Study Tour 2015

Alright, this could be the longest story I've ever written.

This is all about our study tour to Bali and Malang! I was definitely excited! <3

May 2

All of the grade 11 students must be at 10.00 pm at school. I left my house to school at 9.30 pm. I brought a big suitcase, a bag, and a backpack. We gathered in our classroom and waited for the bus came about 2 hours. We did a prayer together in the hall. Then we entered the bus of our class and took a seat.

May 3

At 1.00 am we left the school and started our very long trip. I couldn't sleep at first because we still had a talking and laughing. We stopped by at some places to have a breakfast, lunch, and dinner or if some of us had to go to the restroom/toilet.

We spent our time and threw away our ennui by listening to the music, watching the music videos, and even watching films at night. Haha it feels like we had a bus theater.

May 4

Imperceptibly, we've got the edge of the island of Java in the early morning, precisely in the port of Ketapang. We crossed the strait to the island of Bali at 7.30 am. It was amazing we could see the sunrise directly in front of us. We didn't want to waste our time by not taking the picture of us in this beautiful view.

After crossing, we continued our trip by bus which also crossed, headed to a restaurant for breakfast. Before I had a breakfast, I took a bath first and showered my hair. Then we had a breakfast. We finished and continued our trip to University of Udayana. It's one of the best university in Indonesia. I'm so proud I could visit this college who has 13 faculties. 

After the meeting in the auditorium, we had a lunch on bus and continued our trip to the hotel to have a rest and dinner. We stayed at Green Villas Hotel. Before we went to bed, we took a walk around the hotel to see the activities in Bali. We started to meet tourists hehe :p

May 5

I woke up at 6.30 am the last person who woke up that morning. We took a bath, got ready to do our activities in Bali the whole day. Before we left the hotel, we had a breakfast. Fortunately, our bus (bus 2) came first to the hotel to pick us up. So our class (XI Science 2) left the hotel and arrived at Tanjung Benoa first.

We started to explore the beautiful of Tanjung Benoa by crossing the cape to Turtle Island (Pulau Penyu). We saw a lot of turtles there, from the smallest one to the biggest and oldest one. We went back and I started to fulfill the challenge from my friends to take a picture with tourists there.

Yeah.. we decided to make this challenge long days ago. We just weren't patient to go to Bali soon. But when we arrived here, we became nervous and shy. I don't know why. You know.. meeting new people, especially the foreigners for the first time is just not an easy thing to do. But then, me and my friend tried to find someone who can be asked to take a picture with us easily. Ha! We found there were 3 ladies sitting on a chair to order some food. Well, we walked toward them and told them about our challenge. And... guess what? We got it! We take a picture together one by one. Fiuuh, it was hard only in our mind. The fact was it just took couple minutes. We didn't give up. We kept looking for other tourists.

After we got 2 pictures, we took a break because the weather was getting hot at 12 pm. We had a lunch then back to the bus to continue our trip. The next place was Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park (GWK). It was such a great place, really. We took a lot of pictures there with friends, a statue, and even a fountain. Haha :D

After that, we continued the trip to Kuta Beach. WOOHOO!!! This place was amazing. Obviously, this was my favorite place along this tour. Hmm especially when the sunset appeared.. Breathtaking!

I was so sad to leave this beautiful beach. We went back to bus and went to Krisna, the center of original souvenirs from Bali. We shopped, shopped, and shopped! Before we went to the hotel, we had a dinner there at around 8.00 pm. So, we arrived at the hotel around 9.00 pm, we surely took a fast bath because the night was getting cold. Before we slept, we prepared our shirts for tomorrow.

May 6

I was the last one to be ready. Because we must left the hotel that morning, we packaged our clothes and things to our bags and suitcase. We don't want anything to be left. Me and a friend were the last one to take on the bus. We thought the bust hadn't come yet.

We left the hotel and went to Tanah Lot. It had a beautiful beach too. Got some shopping too!

From Tanah Lot, we went to Joger.. It's a local brand which produced shirts with unique words. Please notice that Joger is in Bali only, it has no branches anywhere. It's a proof that Joger has got the good quality even got a high cost.

There was an embarrassing moment happened to me and a friend who was with me. We spent too much time to do a shopping in Joger, so we didn't realize that we should've got back to the bus. It took about around 3 hours there. Our friends on bus had been waiting for both of us. We apologized to our homeroom teacher and friends because we should've left Joger earlier. So, we left from there at 4 pm. We went to Gilimanuk port, where it is in the top of Bali Island. It meant.. we had to leave Bali. Soo sad :"(

We slept along the ride because i was just too tired and sleepy since we had done a lot of things and I slept very late last night. At 8.00 pm we arrived at the port and crossd the sea to Java Island. I was so dizzy when I stayed in the ferry. Maybe because we hadn't had a dinner and because of the wave of the sea.

It took one hour to cross the sea and arrived at Ketapang. Then, we went to the restaurant and had some dinner. Even though i knew it had been late to eat, but something had to be eaten. I didn't even think about my weight anymore, I just wanna fulfill my stomach and sleep well.

We continued our trip to Bromo, Malang so we could go to Bromo Mountain in the early morning to see the sunrise.

May 7

Sadly, our prediction was wrong. We arrived in Malang at 3 am and we should got hurry to change our clothes and got ready to Bromo. We were waiting and waiting until we got the confirmation from our teachers to go. The schedule was messed up. We started the trip to Bromo at 7.30 am. Can you imagine that? We were waiting for so long until we got sleeping for about 3 hours! Fiuuh.

At first, i thought the trip would just take 30 minutes. But i was wrong. It took more than an hour, almost 2 hours! I was sleeping when I died for a pee. Uuhhh... i hate this situation when everyone was enjoying the view, so poor i am. Actually my friend who sits beside me in the bus was feeling the same too. Haha we had to go to toilet as soon as we arrived.

I thought we had arrived, but we hadn't. We still had to go to the top by taking on jeep. It would be so cool if me and my friend didn't miss the jeep where there were my classmates in it. OH! I'm forget to tell you. Before we took the jeep, we had gone to the nearest toilet to finish our bussiness aka pee. So that's why we missed the jeep and we had to get in the jeep with boys from other class.

We finally arrived at Bromo and we went straight to our friends, then taking pictures is all we did there. Hehehe. Some of us decided to go to Bromo crater and some of us just stayed in the foot of the mountain. But before that, we had a breakfast first with instant noodle because we hadn't had a breakfast at all. After we were full, we climbed the mountain to go to the crater. It was fun, but so tiring. We just climbed for 10 minutes, someone from other class who had just come down from the crater says that one of our teacher said that we must go back. 'Must go back' meant we had to the hotel immediately. Grrgrr... we just had climbed and had to go back? Can't believe it :(

We come down and met our friends, then took pictures again. We'd never got bored to take picture over and over again. I don't know why. This was our great and fun times, much far from the hard and boring lessons at school, so we had to use this holiday by capturing our activities which will be the unforgettable one.

After we come down from this high mountain and went back to our first location, we had a breakfast. Yes, we just got the breakfast at 12.00 pm. We ate as much as we can because if not our stomach would be going crazier than we ever thought. Hmmm :D

We continued our trip to the hotel in Malang and had a lunch at 3.00 pm. In fact, we went to the souvenir shop first. We bought many things from food until the accessories. We arrived at the hotel  at 7.00 pm where it's actually near the souvenir shop. Unpredictably, Batu Paradise, the hotel where we stayed was reaalllyyy coool (y). I'm not kidding! It's so much better than our hotel in Bali. We took a shower and bath, then we had a dinner at 9.00 pm.

May 8

I was the last one who woke up that morning, so i got the last turn to take a bath. I couldn't do things slowly, i just got hurry then had a breakfast alone in the hall because i didn't wanna be late and my bus would leave me. I was the last student who entered the bus. Wasn't that cool? I was proud to be the last. wkwk :p

Today, our schedule was visiting University of Brawijaya where we met our alumnus there. As we did in University of Udayana, we got the presentation about this number-4-university in Indonesia. I was so so sleep even though i was the one who slept early last night and woke up at the most last time, I really can't control my sleepiness. Besides, I didn't even understand what that person who sits in front of us and leads this meeting was talking about.

We got some snacks after the presentation, We never missed the taking-pictures moment. Our class took a picture together in front of the Brawijaya Tower which is located in the center of the junction. Yeahh this university is just very big and large. I started to think if i can study at this college after senior high school. Won't it be much greater?

Our visit to this college was the last part of our long trip. Huuhu... so sad to leave this beautiful city and had to go back to our ordinary school. We just took a nap along the trip. Anyway, we had got lunch before we left the college at 11.30 pm. As we did before, we listened to the music and watched the movie if we weren't asleep. We had a dinner at around 9.00 pm.

May 9

At 00,00 am we left the restaurant and went straight to Tangerang. I was so sad (i mean we, all of us) because the trip had been over. It felt like we just left the school and started the trip yesterday :'( Our kind homeroom teacher treated us a breakfast, because breakfast on that day wasn't written in the schedule. We enjoyed our breakfast at 8.30 am.

On the way home, we prepared our bags and souvenirs on bus and got some sleep before we really arrived at school. I thought we would get the traffic jam, but it was smooth. So, we arrived at our school in Curug, Tangerang (in the alley in front of Koramil).

There were some of us complained, "school again, school again.. I'm gonna get bored again." Hahaha

We had the most priceless study tour/trip which we'll never ever forget for life. Also, we had got uncountable great photos of us and more than that, the experiences and friendship we had is much more valuable and precious, plus nothing can compare.
