The Peach Has Rested Peacefully

Two days ago, the K-pop world was shocked by the news that came unpredictably. Sulli, the ex member of one of the famous girl groups in South Korea, f(x) passed away. The more shocking is she committed suicide when found dead at her apartment. Many people wonder about the reason. What makes her decided to end her life? What makes her gone hopeless? What makes her thinking that she was not strong enough to face everything in her life? Well, please allow me to share my thoughts about this news in this post.

Sulli with full name Choi Jin Ri, was born in March 29 1994 had started her career as an actress when she was still young in 2005. Then, she debuted as an idol in a K-pop girl group, f(x) under SM Entertainment in 2009. The group released many songs that became popular, such as Hot Summer, Electric Shock, Rum Pum Pum Pum, Red Light, and more. My favorite is Electric Shock which was released 7 years ago. I was a junior high school student that time. 

The years went by, the idol decided to leave the group in 2015 due to several reasons. After that, I did not really get updated with her and the rest of the members. What I know is that she became one of the controversial artist especially in social media, Instagram. Many people gave bad even harsh comments in her posts in Instagram. I don't know exactly when this phenomenon happened and I'm sure it really hurt her so deep.

Korea news platforms stated that she got depressed because of the comments from netizens. She has kept her feeling for such a long time alone. In the end, she couldn't bear it anymore. Nobody seemed care to her life. Nobody seemed to wanna help her.

           

This sad news made the K-pop world can't help but falls into tears, especially SM artists. IU, one of her close friends had ever written a song about her titled Peach.. The song was sung by Sulli in her hits drama To The Beautiful You. You can watch her performance in the video below.

She also debuted as a solo singer in the beginning of this year. This is her last single titled Goblin. I have a feeling that this song describes her feeling and emotion which she was suffering with.

Besides that, she recently appeared in the latest hits drama Hotel Del Luna as a cameo. I still can't believe that it was her last performance as an actress in a drama :(

Now that she has gone, we should be more sensitive with our friends around us. We might not be able to understand their condition, but we can be a good listener for those who are suffering. I believe that the peach has rested peacefully in the heaven.
