A Well Spent Day at @america

Last Wednesday, January 23, 2020 me and my friends (actually all students of English Language Education department) got an opportunity to have a field trip for the first time. None of us were not excited about this. We went to a sophisticated place where all the information about American culture and stuff are provided. The place where we headed to is @america (yes, with @ before the word america).

As you can see, the picture above is a warm greeting from @america and we were wondering what kind of fun that was waiting for us. Evan Fowler is the speaker for the event on that day who shared to us a lot about the sense of humour in the US. Since the discussion was about humour, I couldn't help myself not to laugh out loud because of the jokes, neither could my friends.

After I did some browsing in the internet, here is some information for you.
@america is the U.S. Embassy's American Center located in Pacific Place, Jakarta, Indonesia. Their mission is to provide a space for young Indonesians to learn more about the United States and to share ideas about issues that are important to both Americans and Indonesians.
All of the events are free and open to the public and include diverse topics such as education, the environment, music and arts, science and technology, and entrepreneurship.
At @america, discover state-of-the-art technology and learn more about the United States. Through discussions, webchats, performances, debates, workshops, and exhibitions, you can experience the best of America—its ideals, creativity, and diversity. Want to study in the United States? They also provide a consultation for those who are interested to study in the US.

Well, what do you think guys? Give it a visit! You won't regret it at all.
